WebinarJam: Why Are Ads on My YouTube Video?

If you are seeing YouTube Ads on your video, then it's likely you have YouTube Video Monetization turned on. 
NOTE:This can also happen, when according to Google Support: 
If your video contains content to which you don’t own all necessary rights, the rights holder may have identified his/her content in your video and chosen to place ads on it. Ads may be displayed on your videos if they contain soundtracks from the AudioSwap library or if the content in your video has been identified by Content ID.  
YouTube has a link for you to check to see if there are any issues with your videos, by checking Video Copyright.
This is why we strongly recommend that you do not use background music unless you have specific rights to it.
NOTE: If the video is owned by someone else, then you can not turn off the ads on their video. 


To disable YouTube Monetization on:

All videos - simply visit YouTube Account Monetization then click "Disable Monetization" 
Some Videos - visit your YouTube Video Manager 
You can change your video to unlisted, and it will not show ads until you make it public, or you can:
  • Click the videos you would like to disable Monetization on (Marked #1 Below)
  • Then click Actions  (Marked #2 Below)
  • Click Monetize (Marked #3 Below)
  • On the popup that appears, you want to Uncheck the boxes (Marked #1 Below)
  • Then Click Monetize in the bottom right
