Products: Full Guide to Creating Your Products

Create a New Product

The option to create a new product can be located by going under My Products on the left sidebar (Marked #1 Below), then Products in the upper menu (Marked #2 Below), and Products in the lower menu (Marked #3 Below). To the right there is a green button with the ‘+’ symbol in it titled Products.

Basic Info

This is the first step in creating a new product. It is divided into three parts: Product Details, Product Position in Funnel, Payment Processing.

The Product Details section is where you will enter the name and description of your product.

Product Position in Funnel is where you will designate whether the product is the main product or the upsell/downsell of another product. The main product is the first, or only, offer in a sales funnel. An upsell/downsell is only offered in relation to the purchase of another product.

Payment Processing is where you setup the means to accept payment for this product.

Pricing

The Pricing page, is where you will set the price for your products. You can configure multiple price points for your products. The system will generate a different check out link for each one. You can set up a preferred method. Which is shown with a pink heart.

Underneath that you have the add button to add multiple price points.

You have 4 different price levels to choose. You can set up different ones for the same type of product.

Onetime payment

This is where the customer makes one payment for your product.

  • Click onetime payment
  • Fill in all information required. Notice you have buttons you can turn on and off information as needed.  You will need to decided you will turn on the marketplace price visibility and fill the additional information in.
  • Click confirm when you are finished.
  • Recurring Payment

    This is where you will set up payments that the customer will pay on a recurring basis. You can set this to monthly, yearly, quarterly. Bimonthly.

    1. Select Recurring payment
    2. Fill in all information needed (click on all drop down boxes) Notice you have buttons you can turn on and off information as needed.  You will need to decided you will turn on the marketplace price visibility and fill the additional information in.
    3. Click confirm

    Limited Number of Installments

    This option gives you the chance to give the customer an option to pay less now and pay the rest later. It will be up to you on how you set this up.

    1. Click the Limited number of installments
    2. Fill in all information (click the drop down) Notice you have buttons you can turn on and off information as needed. You will need to decided you will turn on the marketplace price visibility and fill the additional information in.
    3. Click confirm

    Recurrent Installments

    This is the option you will set for your customer to make recurring payments on a yearly basis and or monthly.

    1. Click Recurrent installments
    2. Fill in all information (click on all drop boxes) Notice you have buttons you can turn on and off information as needed. You will need to decided you will turn on the marketplace price visibility and fill the additional information in.
    3. Click Confirm

    Money Back Guarantee

    You are ready to set your Money Back Guarantee. This ensures the customer a piece of mind if they are not satisfied with your product or your services.

    You will want to select one of the 5 options. Then you will just simply click Confirm.


    Content

    This is where you will set up the main information for your product. You will set up 2 sections: The Product Page and the Thank-You Page.

    The product page section has a field for you to enter the URL for the page where the product is being sold. This is the product's main index page, where you describe and pitch your product characteristics. It's, basically, the page where you want most of your traffic to be redirected to.

    The Thank-You page section has a field for you to enter the URL for the product’s Thank-You page.This is the page your buyers will be redirected to upon completing their order.

    NOTE: If you want to offer an upsell or a one-time-offer, paste their corresponding landing page here.

    Checkout

    This is where you will setup the checkout process for your product. There are six sections to complete (not all mandatory). The first three are for setting up the design of your checkout page. You decide how the checkout form will look, whether or not you want your branding logo to appear, and what information a customer needs to enter when making a purchase.

    The final three steps are Shipping Costs, Charge Sales Tax, and Tag Cart Abandonment.

    Shipping Costs is where you will designate your product as a Digital product, that doesn’t require a shipping fee, or a Physical Product. If it is a Physical Product, you will designate the shipping costs for whatever locations you ship to (country).

    Charge Sales Tax is where you will designate whether sales tax will be applied to the product.

    Tag Cart Abandonment is where you will you will determine if a shopper is to be tagged if they abandon the cart. You can subscribe them to a specific tag that you can later use to locate their info and contact them.

    Post Sale

    This is where you designate what happens after the purchase. This step is has four sections: Your customers list, Tag your customers, Accessing your product contents, and Automation rules.

    Your Customers List is the section where you will select the list you want your customers to be subscribed to when they purchase your product.

    Tag Your Customers is the section where you will designate what tag, if you any, you want to apply to those that have purchased your product  at a certain price.

    Accessing Your Product Contents is where you will decide how your customers will access your product if it is digital. Kartra provides three options to do so. You can host the digital product in Kartra and Kartra will automatically send your customer a protected login account to access the hosted material, or have Kartra send a link to download it immediately after purchase. You can also integrate a third party membership to make the download accessible there.

    Automation Rules allows you to create an automated sequence after a purchase is made. You can design the rules and steps in the sequence.

    Affiliates

    This is where you will designate if you want to offer to become a product Affiliate. There are two options: Affiliate Program on Checkout and Affiliate Program on Opt-In.

    Affiliate Program On Checkout is where you decide if you want to offer the Affiliate program during checkout. If you decide to do so, there are other options that will open to you in setting up your affiliate program.

    Affiliate Program On Opt-In is where you decide if you want to offer the Affiliate program during opt-in. If you decide to do so, there are other options that will open to you in setting up your affiliate program.

    Neither choice is mandatory (As shown below). You can always select affiliates are not allowed to promote this product if you are not looking for anyone help you sell the product.

    Finish

    This step confirms the successful creation/configuration of your product and provides you with a tracking code to place on the landing page for your product.
