WebinarJam Error: My Attendees See Content Warning, YouTube Restricted!

Are you using the YouTube provider? Have your attendees reported receiving an image like the above when viewing your webinars?

This error screen may be more likely than you think.

Attendees watching webinars at schools and universities may be at computers with limitations or restrictions specific to the school. It is possible they are not able to change those restrictions. If any of your attendees have .edu email, you may want to recommend they watch from someplace other than school. Often times, they may be a short distance from a cafe or other public place where they can view the webinar without restriction.

If your attendees are not at a school, they can change the settings on their computer. In this case, we recommend you add the following sticky note to your webinars:

"If you are seeing restricted, please follow the instructions here https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/174084, and then refresh, or press Control F5."

How Can I Prevent This from Happening?

If you'd like to prevent this from happening indefinitely, one option you do have is to switch to the JamCast provider. The JamCast provider is hosted from our servers, and therefore does not have the restrictions which come with YouTube.

You can read more about the JamCast Provider here.
