This article is for:

WebinarJam

How do I share a Slideshow?

With WebinarJam you can upload your slides to the cloud before your webinar starts, saving time and allowing for a flawless webinar experience. No need to screenshare your presentations!

NOTE: We recommend that you upload your slideshow ahead of time and thoroughly test both your webinar and slides before going live.

The system can accept Powerpoint, Keynote, and PDF presentations.  These files should end with ppt, pptx, key, or pdf.

Where Do I Upload My Presentation?

Select Full Configuration if you are editing an existing webinar or creating a new one.

Go to the "Live" Section of your webinar (Marked #1 Below).

Select the last section, "Pre-configuring Your Slide Presentation".

We highly recommend testing your presentation via "Run a Test" before going live. This allows you to confirm the slides uploaded correctly, as well as familiarize yourself with the setup before presenting to a live audience.

What if I Have Trouble Uploading My Presentation?

WebinarJam is designed to work with a variety of presentations, but there are some limits.

The file should be a Powerpoint, Keynote or PDF.

  • They should end with PPT, PPTX, Key, or PDF.
  • Google Drive will allow you to download a PPTX
  • Keynote may need to be exported at Keynote 09
  • If your presentation has password protection, it will not upload.

Files cannot include animations or embedded videos.

  • Transitions: When you are live, you can choose from several different transitions between slides.
  • Audio: If you have a presentation with audio, we recommend that you create a short video and use the Video Injections feature.
  • Videos: If you have a presentation with videos, you must upload the videos via Video Injections.
  • Animations: For animations you may want to create a video beforehand and use the Video Injections feature.

The file should be under 80 MB.

You can preview how it looks with different transitions between the slides (Marked #2 Below). While you can change transitions during the webinar, changing transitions repeatedly or rapidly will not be a good experience for your viewer.

After you have confirmed the presentation is the one you want, and the transition you like, press start (Marked #3 Below).

How Do I Display the Slide Show and Presenters?

For you or your co-presenters to appear as thumbnails (small screens) on your webinar, you will need to have your camera on. It's as simple as that.

Be sure your Camera (marked #1 Below) is blue.

How Do I Go to the Next Slide?

You can click Previous or next on the sidebar, beneath your slides (Marked #1 Below) or beneath the slides displayed on your webinar (Marked #2 Below).

How Do I Stop the Slideshow?

Once you reach a stopping point in your presentation, press "Stop Slide Presentation" (Marked #3 Below).

This allows you time to show a video, have a Q and A (Question and Answer session), or just pause to discuss things with your attendees.

NOTE: You will want to stop your slideshow to show a video. You will have to restart the slideshow after playing a video.

If you pre-loaded your slideshow you will be able to start the slideshow from the slide you stopped at previously.

NOTE: Slideshows uploaded during the webinar are a temporary upload so if you stop the presentation you will need to upload it again.
