WebinarJam: Configure Webinar Provider

This article is for:

WebinarJam

If you are doing a Full Configuration webinar, you can choose to use one of three different webinar providers, JamCast, YouTube Live, or Facebook Live.

NOTE: You will only be able to choose the webinar provider under the Full Configuration.

NOTE: YouTube is the only option available to users with Legacy Users without an Upgrade.

Other WebinarJam members have the ability to choose webinar Providers.

Which One Should I Choose?

JamCast and YouTube Live have all the same great feature options during a live webinar. How the webinar is broadcast and recorded is different. Facebook does not offer the same Live features, but your webinar being on Facebook is great publicity.

JamCast

Webinar Provider: JamCast

JamCast is the easiest option to set up. Click the button and you are done. No need to connect to another service.

The replay can be displayed by the Replica Replay or you can download the link to put on your own website or another video platform.

CONS

  1. You do not have a link outside of the Replica Replay to share a video with others unless you upload the recording to another platform.

PROS

  1. Easy to set up.
  2. After your webinar is over, you have a link to download and share as you wish in addition to your Replica Replay.

YouTube

Webinar Provider: YouTube

This is the only option available to users with Basic WebinarJam.

It has both pros and cons.

CONS

  1. It can be tricky to get your YouTube Account set up correctly.
  2. If you play a video or music that is not owned by you in your webinar, YouTube may file a "Content ID claim".

PROS

  1. Your video will go live to YouTube, which can have expansive reach.
  2. After your webinar is over, you have a YouTube link to share in addition to your Replica Replay.

Facebook

Webinar Provider: Facebook

This option is exciting! It means you can have your webinar displaying for all the friends on your page or your personal wall (or just yourself) and is a great way to get in front of an audience who might not normally attend a webinar.

NOTE: Once you connect to a Facebook channel, that channel will be for all your future Facebook WebinarJam sessions until you reset it. For each webinar you can change your privacy or page settings.

Facebook does have its limitations. You will need to connect WebinarJam to your Facebook account.  Since the webinar will be displayed on Facebook and not on our interface, File Sharing, Offers, and Polls, which normally occur in the sidebar, are not possible. You can, however, share a link to your offer as a comment or on a slide as a visual link.

Because Facebook allows both companies and individuals to watch for Copyright Infringements and set up unique requirements, you must be careful to display only videos that are yours.

CONS

  1. You will need to Connect your Personal Facebook account.
  2. File Sharing, Offers, and Polls which normally occur in the sidebar will not be possible.
  3. If you play a video or music that is not owned by you in your webinar, Facebook may file a "Takedown Report", which may result in a webinar being removed.

PROS

  1. Your video will go live to Facebook, which has expansive reach.
  2. You can connect to Facebook Pages, or Facebook Groups if you are admin.
  3. After your webinar is over, you have a Facebook link to share in addition to your Replica Replay.
