How do I add the Facebook Pixel Code?

Facebook and it's tracking programs are always changing, so always refer to Facebook about their latest ways Create Conversion Pixel or other tracking methods. 



Facebook Pixel

Your first step will be to Create a Facebook Pixel.  

We recommend reading How to Create a Facebook Pixel from Facebook for their official instructions. The above link will also tell you how to get your pixel code.

We recommend checking with Facebook first on how to get their pixel code as things frequently change.

NOTE: We can not advise you about when to use the Facebook Base Code or when to use the Facebook Custom Conversion Code.



But you can get Your Pixel Code when you can go to your Facebook Ad Manager

  1. Click Set up (Marked #1 Below)
  2. In the "Choose Installation Option" Popup that appears, choose "copy and paste the code"

In most cases you will want to use the Pixel Base Code, which is marked 1.  Copy the entire Facebook code.

It will look similar to:

This complete code will need to be pasted in WebinarJam or EverWebinar.




How do I add the Facebook Pixel Code with WebinarJam or EverWebinar?

Now that you have your tracking code from Facebook, you can add it to WebinarJam or EverWebinar.

Go To Integrations (Marked #1 Below). 

Click the pencil beside "Integrate a 3rd party tracking system."



In the new window you can paste the entire Facebook Pixel code or any type of tracking code you'd like, to any of the pages listed below!

  • Registration page tracking
  • Post-registration Thank You page tracking
  • Webinar live room page tracking
  • Replay page tracking





How do I verify if my Facebook Pixel Code is working?

We recommend using the Facebook Pixel Helper.

Read: Facebook Pixel Helper

It will advise you to install the Facebook Pixel Helper Add on for Chrome. Then you can visit the page where you've added the code, and click the Facebook Pixel Helper Icon, which should display something similar to below.  If there are no errors you are good to go.




What If I Want a Custom Conversion?

NOTE: We can not advise you about when to use the Facebook Base Code or when to use the Facebook Custom Conversion Code.

If you want to create a custom conversion, which will track specific actions people take on your website.

Read the article by Facebook on How to Create a Custom Conversion on Facebook.  We can not advise you how to use Custom Conversions. 

Then add part of the URL from your webinar related to an event, to create "URL Contains". So if you wanted to track "complete registration" you'd use the thank URL. A Lead might be those who visit your registration page.



NOTE: This are PARTIAL webinar URLs, you want to use "URL Contains" as these webinar URLs will have additional identification codes.

Be Sure to use httpS:// the s means it is a secure, and works with our program.

Replace them in the URLs below.

  • THANK YOU: https://events.genndi.com/thankyou/Webicode
  • LIVE: https://events.genndi.com/live/MemberID/Webicode
  • REPLAY: https://events.genndi.com/replay/MemberID/Webicode


NOTE: Replace Member ID with your Member ID and the Webicode with your webinar's webicode. The MemberID stays the same for all your webinars. Your Webicode will change for each webinar. To Get your Member ID and Webicode, Go to My Webinars and Choose your Webinar.

NOTE: If you do not change the above MemberID and Webicode to your actual information your Facebook Conversion Numbers will be greatly inflated.




Getting your Member ID and Webicode

Go to "My Webinars" then find the webinar you want to use.

You'll see four circle icons. To get the your Member ID and Webicode you want the "Advanced Settings" (Marked # 3 Below) and shaped like a sprocket.


Under Advanced Integrations

In the pop up that appears, choose the third option "API Custom Integrations."

You'll see your MemberId.

This is your Member Id within WebinarJam. Next is the Webicode, which is the identifying code for that webinar.  You'll need the Member ID and Webicode for your links.
