WebinarJam: Troubleshooting Your Facebook Connection

This article is for:

WebinarJam

Are you having trouble connecting Facebook to WebinarJam?

If you are creating a Full Configuration webinar, you have the option to choose Facebook Live as your webinar provider

While for most this is an easy process, on occasion it does have some issues.  . You may scroll through the article to view it in its entirety, or simply use the table of contents below to jump within the sections.

Quick Solutions to Test First

Sometimes, there might be a few quick fixes to troubles you experience with the Facebook Live connection. Testing these out first can sometimes help remedy, or even prevent, any possible problems. We highly recommend you test a few of this first, before proceeding through the rest of the list. Naturally, if you see something within the table of contents above which sounds like what you're experiencing, you may wish to jump to that section.

Is Your Email Verified?

Depending on when you originally created your Facebook account, you may need to verify your email address properly. It's often the case that the email address connected to your email may not be verified, or up to date- especially if you're using an old email address which you no longer have access to. You can have Facebook resend a verification, or you can simply add another email address to your Facebook settings

We often find a gmail, or yahoo account are the best options to do this quickly, and effectively.

Once your email address is verified, run another test and see if the connection is now properly established.

Create Another Admin

If you don't wish to go through the step above, or perhaps you don't want your personal Facebook to be connected with hosting the webinars, you do have another option.

That is, you can create a new Facebook account, and made it an admin within the group. You can create this account strictly for use hosting your webinars within your group/page. Then, follow the steps to connect that account to WebinarJam. Simple!

Doing this is also a great way to troubleshoot if any troubles are coming from your regular Facebook account or not.
