Leadpages Integration

This article is for: Legacy WebinarJam Users (Customers who joined prior to Sept 15th 2017)

Leadpages offers API integration with Legacy WebinarJam, so you can turn any Lead Page, Lead Box, Lead Link, or Lead Digit into a WebinarJam registration page with just a few clicks.

API Integration

SPECIAL NOTES

Make Your Autoresponder Your Primary Integration with LeadPages

API Integration basically allows LeadPages and WebinarJam to talk to each other.    With the API Integration between LeadPages and WebinarJam, you will be able to use the LeadPages Registration page.  This will then push information from LeadPages to WebinarJam, by passing our registration page and integration with autoresponders.

So to make certain your attendees are added to your autoresponder, you will want to make your autoresponder your Primary Integration, and WebinarJam your Secondary Integration.

See the section Set Up with an Autoresponder.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: If your registrants are getting passed to WebinarJam but not your autoresponder, we will try to help, or if you are having trouble with your Autoresponder integration. However these issues would be better addressed by the LeadPages Support.

API Integration Exceptions

As Cool as API Integration is, there are some limitations that may require that you use the alternative integration. For any of the situations, please check the Alternative Solutions section

Thank you Pages

Using formal integration with LeadPages means you must use their Thank You page and you would rather use the WebinarJam Thank You page.

Multiple One Off Webinars

With Multiple "One Off" Webinars, LeadPages does not offer registrants a choice of sessions, so all registrants are added to the first session.

Get Your API KEY

By using the API integration you will create a LeadPage via LeadPages, so when you create your webinar, all you need is a basic registration form, with just the basic information to create the form.
  • Once you reach the Integration Page you will need to click API custom Integrations as marked #2 below.
  • Then Copy the API Key as Marked #6 below.

Go Back To LeadPages

After you have copied the API Key,  open a new browser tab or window and log into LeadPages. When you are logged into your LeadPages account.
  • Click the Account Name at the top right.
  • Select Integrations from the drop down menu as marked #1 below

Add WebinarJam API Key

In the page that appears, paste your WebinarJam API Key

Set Up Your Registration on LeadPages

Finish setting up your Webinar, then go back to LeadPages to finish setting up your LeadPages.

LeadPages and WebinarJam and now officially integrated and you can select your Scheduled Webinars as a Primary or Secondary Integration in LeadPages, LeadBoxes, LeadDigits and LeadLinks!  If you have an autoresponder, the autoresponder will be primary, and WebinarJam will be the secondary integration.

Set up With an Autoresponder

As discussed in the exceptions above; the API integration bypasses the autoresponder integration with WebinarJam. In order to make certain your attendees are added to your autoresponder, you will want to make your autoresponder your Primary Integration, and WebinarJam your Secondary Integration.
As displayed below, on your LeadBox integration:
  1. Integrate form with your autoresponder (Marked #1 Below)
  2. Choose your autoresponder list (Marked #2 Below)
  3. Integrate with Webinar Host (Marked #3 Below)
  4. Choose WebinarJam from the drop down (Marked #4 Below)
  5. Choose your Webinar (Marked #5 Below)

NOTE: If your registrants are getting passed to WebinarJam but not your autoresponder, we will try to help, or if you are having trouble with your Autoresponder integration. However these issues would be better addressed by the LeadPages Support.

Alternative Solutions

Replace the Button

NOTE:  We do not provide support on how to edit or upload the HTML code.  If you need additional assistance on the LeadPages HTML code, then we advise you to contact LeadPages Support.

Using the formal integration with Leadpages means you must use their Thank You page. If you wish to use the WebinarJam Thank You page or EverWebinar, you can integrate with LP, but it will take a few extra steps.

Select a LeadPages Drag and Drop Template

You will need to select one of the new drag and drop templates. You will want to remove any previously existing buttons, select Widgets then...

  1. Drag an HTML widget to where you want the button
  2. Click the HTML box. Click the dark blue box that appears above it.
  3. In the box insert the HTML code

To get the WebinarJam embed button code, choose the Custom template option (the one with the sprockets) in the Registration tab (remember to load the template, fill in the requested info, and save). Then the “embed registration button” code will appear in the Attendees section to get your links. This is the code to replace the form code offered by LeadPages.

Replace the button and upload the file back to your website and the integration is complete. You can see the full instructions on How to use the Registration Button

Use a Hotlink

Or, as an alternative, use Leadpages and whatever sign up form you’d like and register your users by sending them an email after they opt into your Leadpage, using the “Advanced Custom Registration Hotlink” option in WebinarJam.
