WebinarJam Control Panel

This article is for: Legacy WebinarJam Users (Customers who joined prior to Sept 2017)

With WebinarJam you can choose to simply use the Sidebar Control Panel or the Full Screen Control Panel.  They are very similar, but this will explain the details and differences between the two.

Sidebar Control Panel

Where is the Sidebar Control Panel?

The Sidebar Control Panel is often considered the easiest to use by yourself, or if you are one of the speakers. This control panel loads to the side of your presenter screen when you use your "Live Room" link and allows you to see both the webinar and the control panel off to the side.

  • From the image below, you would select your live room link Marked #1 for yourself as a webinar owner,
  • Select #3 for a co-presenter from the example below.

What does the Sidebar Control Panel do?

Now that you know where to find your control panel, let's go into how to use it.

As you can see below, the Sidebar Control Panel has tabs. These allow you to go to different sections.  As you can see below, these are:

  • Chat: Allows you to control the chat, making it public, private, or both. You can also add stickys. See Chat Settings.
  • Room: Allows you to see who is in the room and allows your attendees to raise their hands or see how many attendees there are. See Room Settings
  • Polls: Allows you to display polls
  • Offers: Allows you to display offers. See How to Set up Offers.
  • Video: Allows you to use the inject videos option. See Play Videos.

Full Screen Control Panel

Where is the Full Screen Control Panel?

The Full Screen Control Panel can be used by the Webinar Owner, or any co-presenters; however, is  often considered more useful for moderators. This is because the "Control Panel Link" opens a Full Screen Control Panel, which means the presentation is hard to see. Also you must "Enter Room" before the Control Panel link will work.

NOTE: The Full Screen Control Panel link can only be used after you have Entered Your Webinar Room.
See the Instructions on Enter Your Webinar Room

  • From the image below, you would select your Full Screen Control Panel link Marked #2 for yourself as a webinar owner,
  • or #4 for a co-presenter.

What does the  Full Screen Control Panel do?

This Full Screen Control Panel has a it's own URL, from the image below you would select the Control Panel link Marked #2 for yourself as a webinar owner, or #4 for a co-presenter.

NOTE: The Full Screen Control Panel link can only be used after you have Entered Your Webinar Room.
See the Instructions on Enter Your Webinar Room

With the Full Screen Control Panel link, all the tabs are separated, making it easy to see everything. But because this is a full page, we recommend that the Full Screen Control Panel link be used by a moderator.

The Full Screen Control Panel has 6 sections. 3 at the top, and 3 more when you scroll down. As you can see below, the top has the following sections:

  • Chat: Allows you to control the chat, making it public, private, or both. You can also add stickys. See Chat Settings.
  • Questions and Answers: This section is not available in the sidebar control panel.
  • Room: Allows you to see who is in the room and allows your attendees to raise their hands or see the how many attendees there are. See Room Settings

As you can see below, the lower section of the Full Screen Control Panel has the following sections

  • Polls: Allows you to display polls
  • Offers: Allows you to display offers. See How to Set up Offers.
  • Video: Allows you to use the inject videos option. See Play Videos.
