How Do I Add A Poll in WebinarJam?

With WebinarJam, you have the ability to share polls with your attendees while you're doing a webinar.
 
A poll allows you to ask one multiple choice question and your attendees choose one answer from the answers that you predefined.

Why isn't my Poll in my YouTube Video? 
 
Offers, chat, and are part of the WebinarJam sidebar, and therefore do not get recorded on the YouTube video, but are seen on the WebinarJam Replica Replay link if you have it enabled.

How to Pre-Load Your Poll

While the process to add a poll or polls doesn't take long, it is probably not something you want to do during a live webinar.
  1. Either set up a "New Webinar" or go to "Edit Webinar" mode
  2. Go to the "Live" tab (Marked #2 Below)
  3. Click the Pencil to Edit the "Pre-Configure Your Webinar Poll" (Marked #3 Below)
  4. Click "Add New Poll" (Marked #4 Below)
 
 
In the pop-up that appears:
  1. Ask your poll question (Marked #1 Below)
  2. Fill out at least two answers (Marked #2 Below)
  3. If you create an option you later want to remove, you can delete it by clicking the trash can (Marked #3 Below)
  4. If you want to add more options, click "Add an option" (Marked #4 Below) 
  5. Save (Marked #5 Below)

During your Webinar

How to Add a Poll to a Live Webinar

To add a Poll to a Live webinar you'll click "Polls"
  1. Then the Sprocket (Marked #1 Bel0w)
  2. Click "Select Poll" (Marked #2 Below)
  3. Select "Create Poll" (Marked #3 Below)

How to Display Your Poll During the Webinar

To show your pre-loaded poll to a Live webinar, you'll click "Polls"
  1. Then the Sprocket (Marked #1 Bel0w)
  2. Click "Select Poll" (Marked #2 Below)
  3. Select the poll you want to display (Marked #3 Below)
 
Your poll will display to you as below...​
 
  1. If you want your attendees to see the results of the poll, be sure to click the box (Marked #1 Below)
  2. Click "Start Poll" when you are ready for the poll to display (Marked #2 Below)
 
NOTE: You can move back to other tabs while your poll is displaying.  You can send messages in the chat box or play a video and the poll will stay visible :)
 

What your attendees see.

Your poll will appear on the sidebar. Since it covers the chat, your attendees will notice it.
 
 
To see the chat they can press the red "v" (down arrow) in the upper right hand corner, however that does not remove the poll entirely!  We want your attendees to still be able to see it and click on it.

Closing Your Poll

Once it's time to close your poll, all you need to do is click "End Poll" (The Red Button Below)
If you have changed tabs, simply go back to "Polls" and click "End Poll".

After Your Webinar

After your webinar is over, you'll want to:

  1. Click Analytics (Marked #1 Below)
  2. Choose your webinar name and session (Marked #2 Below) 
  3. Click the arrow ^ to open "Inside Your Webinar" (Marked #3 Below)

 

Once you've opened that section, scroll down to the bottom of the section, where you can see your poll results!
