EW: How to Import a WebinarJam Session into EverWebinar

This article is for:
EverWebinar

WebinarJam is designed for live webinars, and once you get a high converting webinar, then you take the recording of that webinar and convert it to an EverWebinar.

This creates that simulated experience to appear as alive webinar or live event to increase engagement with anyone watching on demand and those built-in social triggers increase conversion in your marketing.

Converting a WebinarJam Session

First off, you need to ensure you select EverWebinar when opening your setup. Remember, WebinarJam and Everwebinar are separate systems, but they work together beautifully!

Then, Click New Webinar. You'll be taken to the EverWebinar Configuration Screen as displayed below.

  1. Click the pencil beside "Source of your evergreen webinar" (Marked #1 Below)
  2. Press the "Previous WebinarJam Live Session" Button (Marked #2 Below)
  3. Select a Webinar and Session from the two drop downs (Marked #3 Below)
  4. If you wish to change from the YouTube player used by WebinarJam to the EverWebinar custom player click the Read More(Marked #4 Below) Then fill out the popup according to the next session
  5. Click Confirm
  6. Save all the way through your webinar setup. This is an extra step, but ensures your content has saved properly.

The system will then take your previous WebinarJam Session, including the chat, and convert it into an EverWebinar session! You will be able to edit the chat or change the number of attendees to display the content you desire.

NOTE: If you did not end your webinar correctly, you will not be able to convert it to EverWebinar, but you can use the YouTube link and set it up as "An External Video File". (If you hosted your webinar with JamSession and this happens, you will need to download the video and upload it to YouTube first).

Using A MP4 Video With Everwebinar

Did you use the YouTube provider for your video? If so, you may be curious about removing the YouTube Logo and video options from your recording. There is a way to do this within Everwebinar.

By changing to the EverWebinar custom player, you remove the YouTube logo and disable the video controls.

This means attendees are prevented from pausing the video or going to YouTube.

NOTE: This step isn't necessary if you've used the JamCast Provider. The JamCast recordings do not contain any logos or links to outside websites.

To keep your WebinarJam chat and other features active, you need to upload your video to Amazon S3, Vimeo PRO, or another video storage service that allows for an MP4 link without the use of an additional player.

NOTE: DropBox, Vimeo Free or Plus, and Wistia all play videos within their own players, meaning these video services will not work.

NOTE:  If you had injected video, then you must use a video editing software to compile the YouTube video plus all the video injections into one single video file.
  1. Click the box to activate the alternative player (Marked #1 Below)
  2. Add the Video link, this should end in .mp4  (Marked #2 Below)
  3. Save. Then, you'll be taken back to the Configuration Screen.
  4. Be sure to save all the way through your setup to the final steps for the best results.
